Qualifications

• Current AHPRA registration is required.

• RN with GP clinic experience is advantageous.
• Police check and Working with Children clearance are required.
• First Aid/CPR certificate and immunisation record must be provided.

Responsibilities

• Provide immunisations, triage, wound management and chronic disease care.
• Take vital signs, discuss symptoms, document health history and care plans.
• Assist with telehealth consultations and patient education materials.
• Support reception and general practice management duties.
• Maintain infection control and accurate clinical documentation.
• Oversee stock control, sterilisation and instrument maintenance.

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our growing healthcare team at Lismore Doctors. You will collaborate with physicians and other staff to provide the most comprehensive care possible to our patients. With each patient, you will take vital signs, discuss their symptoms, document their health history, administer medications, and provide resources and information on how to manage their medical issues at home. Our ideal candidate has extensive knowledge of a variety of illnesses and injuries as well as a compassionate and hard-working attitude.

The chosen candidate will provide quality care to a diverse mix of patients through:

• Immunisations and other injections,
• Triage
• Wound management,
• Chronic disease management,
• ECGs
• Explain procedures to patients, providing them with support and reassurance.
• Assisting with care plans and shared health summaries
• Assisting with telehealth consultations.
• Assist doctors with clinical procedures and maintain clinical documentation.
• Daily co-ordination of the treatment room: stock control, sterilization, general maintenance and care of medical instruments, and equipment
• Implementing and practicing infection control
• Assist with Reception and Practice Management duties.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

The successful applicant will be expected to contribute to both high-quality patient care and clinic growth through:

• Achievement of monthly billable nursing revenue targets.
• Delivery of nurse-led services that support clinic profitability and patient outcomes.
• Maximising utilisation of Medicare-funded nursing activities and health assessments where clinically appropriate.
• Supporting chronic disease management programs, care plans, and health assessments.
• Maintaining a high level of appointment utilisation and minimising unused nursing appointment slots.
• Assisting with patient recall and follow-up programs to improve service uptake and continuity of care.
• Contributing to patient retention and positive patient experience outcomes.
• Identifying opportunities to improve clinic efficiency, workflow, and service delivery.
• Accurate and compliant clinical documentation to support billing and accreditation requirements.
