Job summary

Qscan Group in Queensland is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our Redcliffe team on a permanent full-time basis. You will work with a multi-modality team to deliver high-quality patient care within Medical Imaging, including assessment and preparation for procedures.

You must hold current AHPRA registration, with experience in day procedures or GP practice, and be committed to patient safety, infection control and team collaboration in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
• Experience in day procedures and/or GP practice is desirable.
• Strong commitment to patient safety and infection control.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient assessment and preparation for imaging procedures.
• Perform IV cannulation and contrast administration where required.

About Qscan

Qscan Radiology provides an opportunity to work in a modern, patient-focused medical imaging environment, supporting patients throughout their diagnostic imaging journey. You will work collaboratively with Radiologists, Medical Imaging Technologists, Sonographers and administrative staff to ensure safe, efficient and compassionate patient care. The role involves patient assessment and preparation, IV cannulation, contrast administration, monitoring patients before, during and after procedures, and providing reassurance and education. Nurses will also contribute to maintaining patient flow, accurate clinical documentation, infection control and clinical governance standards.

About You

Alongside your current AHPRA registration and experience in day procedures and/or GP Practice, you will also have:

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse, with strong clinical assessment, patient care and communication skills.
• Experience in IV cannulation, contrast administration, patient monitoring and clinical preparation is highly desirable.
• Previous experience in radiology, acute care, emergency, surgical, oncology or day procedures nursing would be advantageous.
• Demonstrate a strong commitment to patient safety, infection prevention and control, clinical governance and high-quality, patient-centred care.
• Excellent teamwork, organisation, attention to detail, adaptability and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced multidisciplinary environment are essential.
• Current CPR/BLS certification, sound clinical judgement, effective emergency response skills and a willingness to undertake ongoing professional development are required.
