Job summary

GenesisCare is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our oncology team at the Hurstville clinic on a casual basis. You will provide safe nursing care to patients undergoing radiotherapy, chemotherapy, immunotherapy and haematology treatments, working with a multidisciplinary team to ensure an exceptional patient experience.

The role offers predictable Monday to Friday daytime hours with no overnight shifts, allowing a healthy work-life balance.

Qualifications

• Current and unrestricted registration with AHPRA.
• Experience in oncology nursing preferred.
• Excellent communication and empathetic patient care.
• Ability to document and manage patient information in electronic systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe and compassionate nursing care to patients receiving treatment.
• Assess, monitor and support patients throughout their treatment journey.
• Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapies and blood products per clinical protocols.
• Deliver patient education and provide support to patients, families and carers.
• Collaborate with oncologists, haematologists and multidisciplinary team to coordinate care.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and adhere to policies and procedures.
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and ongoing professional development.
• Bring a positive, team-focused approach to your work.

GenesisCare now has an exciting opportunity for an experienced and passionate Registered Nurse to join our supportive team at our Hurstville clinic on a Casual basis.

Our centre provides specialised cancer care services including Radiotherapy, Chemotherapy, Immunotherapy and Haematology.

This role is part of a close-knit team of nurses delivering best practice care in Oncology. Working alongside a highly experienced multidisciplinary team, you will play an important role in providing our patients with an exceptional treatment experience.

More specifically, you will:

• Provide safe and compassionate nursing care to patients receiving treatment.

• Current and unrestricted registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
• Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to demonstrate empathy for patients and their carers.
• Demonstrated clinical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to plan and coordinate the clinical management of care.
• Commitment to quality improvement and evidence based practice.
• The ability to accurately document and manage patient information using electronic clinical systems.
• ADAC competency and previous Oncology nursing experience are essential.
