GenesisCare is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a part-time, max-term position across Cabrini and Peninsula Private Hospitals. You will join a close-knit oncology team delivering high-quality, patient-centred care through the cancer treatment journey.

Work with a multidisciplinary team to provide compassionate support, education and safe care aligned with policies and evidence-based practice. Commitment to professional development is welcomed.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with AHPRA registration.
• Experience in oncology or cancer care is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and clinical assessment skills.

GenesisCare has an exciting opportunity for an experienced and passionate Registered Nurse to join our supportive team, working across our clinics at Cabrini and Peninsula Private Hospitals.

This is a great opportunity to join a close-knit and experienced nursing team, providing high-quality, patient-centred care and supporting patients throughout their cancer treatment journey.

Working alongside our multidisciplinary team, you'll play an important role in ensuring every patient receives compassionate care and an exceptional treatment experience.

On offer is a part-time role, on a max term contract through to April 2027.

Responsibilities

• Complete patient assessments and support the ongoing clinical management of care.
• Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapies and blood transfusions.
• Provide compassionate emotional, psychological and practical support to patients and their families.
• Provide comprehensive patient education throughout the treatment journey.
• Collaborate closely with Radiation Oncologists, Oncologists, Haematologists and the broader multidisciplinary team.
• Maintain your professional development and identify opportunities to grow your clinical knowledge and skills.
• Deliver safe, high-quality care in accordance with policies, procedures and evidence-based practice.
• Contribute positively to team goals and continuous improvement.
• Bring a positive, enthusiastic and collaborative approach to your work.

Requirements

• Current and unrestricted registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to demonstrate empathy and compassion for patients and their carers.
• Strong clinical assessment and problem-solving skills.
• The ability to plan and coordinate the clinical management of patient care.
• A commitment to quality improvement and evidence-based practice.
• The ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Previous oncology experience is highly regarded.
