Job summary

Calvary Health Care is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join the Orthopaedic Surgical Unit at Holmesglen Private Hospital in Moorabbin, VIC. This permanent role offers full-time or part-time opportunities across rotating shifts in a 24/7 service environment.

You will provide high-quality care for orthopaedic surgical patients, including postoperative assessment, pain management and discharge planning, while collaborating with surgeons and the broader care team.

Qualifications

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in Orthopaedic Surgery nursing, including post-operative care.
• Demonstrated experience caring for patients undergoing orthopaedic surgical procedures.
• Strong clinical assessment, communication and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• WWCC or willingness to obtain WWCC.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to orthopaedic surgical patients.
• Deliver post-operative assessment, monitoring and pain management.
• Recognise changes in patient condition and escalate as needed.
• Collaborate with surgeons, allied health professionals and multidisciplinary teams.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and contribute to discharge planning.
• Participate in rotating shift rosters across a 24/7 service environment.

The Role

We are seeking experienced Registered Nurses to join our Orthopaedic Surgical Unit on a permanent full-time or part-time basis. Working within a supportive multidisciplinary team, you will provide exceptional care to patients undergoing orthopaedic procedures, supporting them throughout their surgical journey from post-operative recovery through to discharge planning. This role offers the opportunity to work across rotating shift rosters while contributing to positive patient outcomes in a patient-centred environment committed to clinical excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to orthopaedic surgical patients
• Deliver comprehensive post-operative assessment, monitoring and pain management

What You Bring
