Job summary

Uniting Kingscliff invites you to join our team as a Registered Nurse, delivering person-centred care to residents across three households. You will lead clinical care, assess needs, and tailor plans to each resident.

You will work with medical staff and families, supervise care workers, and apply holistic clinical decision-making to support quality of life. A Bachelor of Nursing with AHPRA registration is required, with empathy and strong communication essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Nursing with current AHPRA registration.
  • Adaptable, empathetic, resourceful with strong time management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to assess, think critically and tailor care.
  • Experience in aged or community care preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development, delivery and evaluation of resident care plans.

Located in the beautiful seaside suburb of Kingscliff on the NSW far north coast, Uniting Kingscliff has three separate households, each with up to 25 residents, including a secure Memory Support Unit for people living with dementia. Role Overview:

As a Registered Nurse at Uniting Kingscliff, you will be at the forefront of delivering exceptional person -centred care to our residents. Your clinical expertise and compassionate approach will ensure that each resident received the highest standard of care tailored to their individual needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • You will be a clinical leader in the service, and you will develop, deliver and evaluate resident care plans to meet the individual needs of our residents
  • You’ll need sharp clinical assessment skills and will take the lead in providing clinical services
  • Get to know each resident and become a fundamental part of their life
  • Play an important role in making sure the care provided meets residents’ individual goals
  • You’ll liaise with medical and allied health professionals and residents’ family members to advocate for clients’ quality of life
  • Supervise and support our Personal Care Workers
  • Practice in a holistic way, using your critical decision-making skills to lead the team.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Hold a Bachelor of Nursing degree with current registration (AHPRA).
  • You’ll be adaptable, empathetic, resourceful, a great time manager, and be able to live Uniting’s everyday values of being compassionate, respectful, imaginative, and bold.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Empathy, resilience, and a genuine passion for enhancing the lives of older residents.
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking abilities.
  • Previous Registered Nursing experience in aged or community care is highly desirable however we welcome applications from nurses with experience in other healthcare settings who are passionate about transitioning into Aged Care.
