Job summary

Uniting Farmborough NSW is seeking a Registered Nurse for casual shifts across Monday to Friday, including mornings and afternoons. Located in Farmborough, NSW, this role offers up to $54.19 per hour plus casual loading and superannuation.

You will lead resident care planning, provide clinical services, collaborate with medical teams and families, supervise care workers, and support ongoing professional development within a compassionate aged care setting.

Qualifications

• Registered nurse with experience in aged or community care or a strong interest to move into aged care.
• At least 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse.
• Adaptable, empathetic, resourceful and a strong time manager who lives Uniting's values (compassionate, respectful, imaginative, bold).
• Committed to contemporary aged care nursing practice.
• Nursing degree with current AHPRA registration.

Responsibilities

• Develop, deliver and evaluate resident care plans to meet individual needs.
• Provide clinical services and lead in clinical assessment.
• Know residents well and become a fundamental part of their life.
• Ensure care meets residents' personal goals.
• Liaise with medical/allied health professionals and families to advocate for quality of life.
• Supervise and support Personal Care Workers.
• Lead the team with holistic, evidence-based decision making.

About Uniting Farmborough

Uniting Farmborough Unanderra is a compassionate home that's purpose-built to provide a high level of aged care with 5 separate households, each with up to 25 residents, including a Memory Support Unit for people living with dementia. Our Uniting Homemaker ensures that the community is thriving and doing things that are meaningful and enjoyable.

What You’ll Be Doing In This Role

• You will be a clinical leader in the service, and you will develop, deliver and evaluate resident care plans to meet the individual needs of our residents
• You’ll need sharp clinical assessment skills and will take the lead in providing clinical services
• Get to know each resident and become a fundamental part of their life
• Play an important role in making sure the care provided meets residents’ individual goals
• You’ll liaise with medical and allied health professionals and residents’ family members to advocate for clients’ quality of life
• Supervise and support our Personal Care Workers
• Practice in a holistic way, using your critical decision-making skills to lead the team.

Who We’re Looking For

• You’ll have previous registered nursing experience in aged or community care, or a passion to begin a career in aged care if you have nursing experience in the wider health sector.
• At least 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse.
• You’ll be adaptable, empathetic, resourceful, a great time manager, and be able to live Uniting’s everyday values of being compassionate, respectful, imaginative, and bold.
• You’ll be committed to contemporary aged care nursing practice.
• You’ll hold a nursing degree with current AHPRA registration.
