Job summary

BuildRight Construction AU is seeking a Registered Nurse to join a respected aged care organisation in Queensland. In this role you will lead care teams, deliver person-centred nursing, coordinate with healthcare professionals and ensure high clinical standards to improve residents’ quality of life.

You will bring your AHPRA registration, nursing degree, and current First Aid/CPR certifications, with a preference for prior residential aged care experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Nursing qualification.
• Current unrestricted AHPRA Registered Nurse registration.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification.
• Previous experience in residential aged care preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills.
• Knowledge of aged care legislation, infection control and professional standards.
• Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
• Current National Police Check or willingness to obtain one.
• Current COVID-19 and influenza vaccinations as per employer requirements.
• Commitment to providing compassionate, resident-focused care.

Responsibilities

• Delivers safe, evidence-based nursing care to residents.
• Conducts comprehensive clinical assessments and monitors resident health.
• Administers medications and treatments in line with clinical guidelines.
• Develops, reviews and updates individualized care plans.
• Provides clinical leadership and supervision to nursing and care staff.
• Supports and mentors Graduate Nurses and Enrolled Nurses.
• Collaborates with families, GPs, allied health professionals and external providers.
• Ensures accurate clinical documentation and reporting.
• Promotes infection prevention and maintains compliance with aged care standards.
• Responds promptly to changes in residents' health conditions.
• Contributes to continuous quality improvement initiatives.
• Participates in ongoing education and mandatory training programs.
