Job summary

Newcastle & Hunter Community Health is recruiting a Full time Community Registered Nurse to join our team delivering in-home clinical nursing care for Aged Care, DVA, NDIS, and private clients. You’ll work Monday to Friday, 8 am–4 pm, with a company car and paid FBT, plus ongoing development opportunities.

You’ll provide medication assistance, assessments, wound care, and care planning within a multidisciplinary team committed to quality patient care and professional growth.

Qualifications

• AHPRA Registered Nurse with current registration.
• Minimum 2 years' experience as a Registered Nurse.
• Unrestricted driver's licence.
• Current first aid certificate.
• NDIS worker screen or willingness to obtain.
• Working with children check or willingness to obtain.
• Criminal record check or willingness to obtain.
• Smart phone and internet access.
• Two contactable manager referees.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hands-on client facing role within the community.
• Medication assistance, assessment and monitoring.
• Wound care and wound reports.
• Intake assessments.
• Continence assessments.
• PEG changing and care.
• SPC/IDC changing and care.
• Care planning and report writing.
• Support the client care team and new members as appropriate.
• Deliver high-quality clinical nursing care in clients' homes.

Essential & Desirable Criteria

The ideal applicant will have;

• AHPRA Registered Nurse
• Minimum 2 year's experience as a Registered Nurse.
• Ability to maintain high standards of safe clinical care.
• Ability to work independently and effectively manage time.
• Australian unrestricted Driver's Licence.
• Criminal record check (or willingness to obtain same)
• Working with children check (or willingness to obtain same)
• Current first aid certificate.
• NDIS worker screen (or willingness to obtain same)
• Smart phone and internet access.
• 2 Contactable Manager referees
