Job summary

RFBI is seeking an experienced aged care Registered Nurse to join and support our care teams across Berry and Basin View residences. This leadership role involves advising staff, coordinating care, and ensuring high-quality resident outcomes, under the guidance of the Care Manager.

You will supervise care staff, perform complex clinical tasks, document in iCare, and help residents maintain dignity and well-being.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse DIV 1 - AHPRA Registered.
• 2+ years' experience in aged care.
• Desirable: proficiency with iCare.
• WHS and manual handling knowledge.
• Awareness of aged care legislation and accreditation is valued.
• Current First Aid Certificate.
• Eligibility to work in Australia.
• Willing to work across Berry and Basin View.

Responsibilities

• Lead high-quality care for residents in a key leadership role.
• Supervise and assist other care employees.

We are currently seeking an experienced aged care Registered Nurse to join and support our care teams across our aged care residences in Berry and Basin View.

This is an incredible leadership position where you will work across both villages, advising and assisting care staff to provide the best possible care, tailored to the individual needs and preferences of our residents. The role reports to the Care Manager.

The Royal Freemasons’ Benevolent Institution (known as RFBI) is a not-for-profit (NFP) organisation that has been in operation for 146 years. We currently operate 22 residential aged care villages, 20 retirement villages and a range of home and community services across NSW and ACT.

Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Being responsible for ensuring high quality care is delivered to residents in a key leadership position
• Supervising and assisting other care employees
• Building and fostering partnerships with each resident, respecting and ensuring their dignity, and focusing on their health and wellbeing.
• Working within a supporting team to coordinate and deliver care.
• Providing complex clinical care including but not limited to: wound dressing; administration of medications;condition assessments and referrals.
• Entering reports and observations on the computer program â iCare.
• Evaluating and maintaining care plans to meet changing needs of residents

What we look for:

• Registered Nurse DIV 1 - AHPRA Registered.
• 2+ years previous experience in Aged Care
• Proficient computer skills and working knowledge of iCare (desirable)
• Understanding of WHS responsibilities, including manual handling principles
• Knowledge of Aged Care Legislation, Accreditation and ANACC will be highly regarded
• Current First Aid Certificate
• Must be eligible to work in Australia
• Willingness and ability to work across both Berry and Basin View villages.
