Job summary

Adventist Senior Living in Alstonville, NSW, seeks a casual Registered Nurse to oversee clinical needs and resident assessments. You will promote care quality, engage with families, and lead staff to ensure excellent resident care.

You may cover shifts including nights and must hold current RN registration and driver’s licence. This role requires flexibility to cover sick/annual leave as needed, with opportunities to contribute to a supportive, values-driven workplace culture and ongoing

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (Division 1) with current registration.
• Demonstrated experience in a highly regulated industry, ideally aged care and/or retirement living.
• Basic computer skills and ability to use resident programs.
• Demonstrated skills in leading and supervising, writing and reporting, teamwork, planning and organisation, and decisive action.

Responsibilities

• Oversee clinical needs and assessments of residents.
• Promote and improve provision of care and dialogue with families and representatives.
• Direct and manage staff to ensure quality resident care.
• Support casual coverage for sick and annual leave including some night shifts.

About The Role

This Alstonville based casual RN role reports to the Facility Care Manager and oversees the clinical needs and assessments of our aged care residents. You will promote and improve the provision of care, dialogue with residents’ families and representative as well as directing and managing staff to ensure the delivery of quality resident care.

About You

• Registered Nurse (Division 1) with current registration
• Demonstrated experience working in a highly regulated industry, ideally aged care and/or retirement living.
• Basic Computer skills and ability to use resident programs
• Demonstrated skills and experience in:
  • Leading and supervising
  • Writing and reporting
  • Working with people and contributing to a positive workplace culture
  • Planning and organising
  • Deciding and initiating action
• Must also be able to work casually to cover sick leave, annual leave including some night shifts
• Hold a current driver’s license.
• Have a current NDIS clearance and AHPRA registration
• Willingness to undertake pre-employment medical screening
