IHR Group is seeking a Registered Midwife for a vibrant Post-Natal Ward at a private hospital in Sydney. Full-time and part-time roles are available, with a supportive team of neonatal nurses and midwives delivering world-class maternity care.

As a Registered Midwife, you will rotate across Birth Unit and Special Care Nursery, provide evidence-based care, educate families, and collaborate with obstetricians and neonatologists to optimise patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Current APHRA registration is mandatory.
• Current NSW Working with Children Check is required.
• Proven experience in a similar midwifery role.
• Special Care Nursery experience is advantageous.
• Compliance with ACQSHC National standards.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver evidence-based midwifery care and exceptional patient experience.

Excellent opportunities exist for enthusiastic and motivated Registered Midwives to join a dynamic Post-Natal Ward and work with an amazing team of highly trained neonatal nurses and midwives, providing world-class maternity careat a private hospital in Sydney. There are full-time and part-time roles available.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Registered Midwife, you will join a dedicated team of midwives, obstetricians, and neonatologists. There will be adedicated maternity educator who will support your upskilling and provide a great introduction to the unit.You will also work across the Birth Unit and Special Care Nursery on a rotational basis as required.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Delivering evidence-based midwifery care and providing exceptional patient experience to the woman and their families;
• Liaising with the multi-disciplinary team;
• Ensuring patient and staff safety;
• Supervising, directing, and guiding midwifery/nursing team members; Enrolled Nurses (ENs) and Assistants in Nursing (AINs), to deliver patient care;

REMUNERATION

A salary ranging from $40.26 - $56.54 per hour.

ABOUT THE FACILITY

The hospital, located in Southern Sydney, has 168 overnight beds and specialises in cardiothoracic surgery, neurosurgery, spinal surgery, endovascular surgery, interventional neuroradiology, general surgery, general medicine, liver surgery, orthopedics, maternity, and pediatrics. The hospital also has dedicated Day Surgery, a Coronary Care Unit, and an Intensive Care Unit.
