Job summary

Western Health invites qualified Midwives to join our dynamic Maternity Services. Roles are available across Bacchus Marsh Hospital and Joan Kirner campuses, with options for Birth Suite, low-risk, all-risk, homebirth services, and a supportive, multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

AHPRA certification as a Registered Midwife.
Competent in Birth Suite and caring for intrapartum.
Minimum 18 months' experience as a Registered Midwife in an Australian hospital setting (excluding placements).
Passionate advocates for woman-centered care, education and advocacy.
Exhibits strong clinical skills with evidence-based judgment.
Able to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Willing to undertake ongoing professional development.

Responsibilities

Deliver safe, high-quality, woman-centered maternity care in line with Western Health standards.
Collaborate effectively within multi-disciplinary teams across various maternity care areas.
Promote evidence-based midwifery practices and professional excellence.
Support patient education, informed decision-making, and cultural safety.
Engage in continuous improvement and quality initiatives within the maternity setting.
