Job summary

Limelight People are seeking experienced and compassionate Registered Midwives to join a supportive maternity team in Canberra. Qualifications

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Midwife.
• Experience working within a maternity or labour ward environment.
• Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Commitment to evidence-based practice and high-quality patient care.
• Strong documentation and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, evidence-based midwifery care in line with clinical standards and organisational policies.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate individualised care for women and newborns.
• Provide clinical care across labour, birth and postnatal services, as required.
• Support women and families throughout their maternity journey.
• Promote informed decision-making and positive patient experiences.
• Collaborate with obstetricians, nurses, midwives and other healthcare professionals.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records.
• Adhere to infection prevention, workplace health and safety, and patient safety standards.
• Participate in professional development, education and quality improvement initiatives.
