Job summary

Nepean Hospital in NSW is seeking a Registered Midwife to join the Antenatal Ward. This permanent position offers full-time or part-time hours, with up to 38 hours per week and a competitive hourly remuneration of $40.02–$56.19.

You will provide comprehensive antenatal care, collaborate with obstetricians and the multidisciplinary team, and support women and families through pregnancy with woman-centred care and shared decision-making.

Qualifications

• Current registration as a Registered Midwife Division 1 with AHPRA.
• Demonstrated midwifery clinical skills.
• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team and flexible roster.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of antenatal care.
• Collaborate with obstetricians, midwives, nurses and allied health professionals.
• Deliver woman‑centred care and support shared decision‑making.
• Coordinate care for women with antenatal conditions and pregnancy-related complications.

Nepean Hospital is seeking Registered Midwives to join our dynamic Antenatal Ward team. As part of one of New South Wales' leading maternity services, you will work within a supportive multidisciplinary environment committed to delivering safe, high-quality, woman-centred care. As a Registered Midwife in the Antenatal Ward, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care for women experiencing a range of antenatal conditions and pregnancy-related complications. You will collaborate closely with Obstetricians, Midwives, Nurses, Allied Health professionals and support staff to ensure positive outcomes for women, babies and their families. You will be a compassionate Registered Midwife who is committed to providing outstanding care and fostering positive patient experiences, have the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and have a commitment to woman-centred care and shared decision-making.

Note: “ Minimum completion of New Graduate program or 12 months experience post-Midwifery registration is required”.
