Job summary

Westmead Hospital is seeking a permanent part-time Registered Midwife to provide compassionate, evidence-informed care to women, babies and families within a busy multidisciplinary team.

You will deliver person-centred care, support students and junior colleagues, and participate in supervision, mentoring and professional development to advance your midwifery career.

Qualifications

What you'll be doing

As a Registered Midwife, you will provide high-quality, evidence-informed and person-centred care while responding confidently to changing clinical priorities. You will advocate for patients and families, collaborate across disciplines and contribute to a positive learning environment. Key responsibilities will be to:

  • Deliver safe, effective and individualised care that meets the needs of patients and families

Registration: Current Registration with AHPRA as a Registered Midwife

Selection Criteria:
  • Previous relevant clinical experience in speciality.
  • Demonstrated ability to organise and prioritise work.
  • Demonstrated effective communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Commitment to continuing professional development.
  • Effective interpersonal skills showing initiative and leadership to junior members of the team.
