Job summary

Billy Button Early Learning in Victoria is seeking an Experienced Full Registration Kindergarten Teacher (ECT) to design and deliver play-based learning aligned with EYLF and the Victorian framework. You will support children's learning, development and wellbeing while partnering with families and colleagues in a nurturing centre.

Qualifications

• Degree in Early Childhood from a recognised university (ACECQA-approved)
• Current Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) Registration
• Demonstrated knowledge of EYLF, Education and Care Services National Law (2010) and National Regulations (2011)
• Current Provide an Emergency First Aid Response in an Education and Care Setting qualification and CPR
• Current ACECQA-approved Anaphylaxis and emergency Asthma Management training
• Accredited Child Protection Training
• Valid Working with Children Check and current National Police Check
• Commitment to reflective practice, inclusive education and continuous professional growth

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement and evaluate an educational program that reflects the EYLF and extends each child's learning and development
• Support each child to develop a strong sense of identity, connection to their world, wellbeing, confidence and effective communication skills
• Lead an inclusive environment that honours diversity and reflects current best practice in early childhood education
• Contribute to the ongoing development and review of the service philosophy and Quality Improvement Plan
• Build warm, collaborative relationships with families and community
• Champion child safety and wellbeing as a priority, in line with Child Safe Standards and mandatory reporting obligations
• Foster a positive, reflective team culture alongside educators and leadership
• Manage the day-to-day operation of the assigned room, including providing leadership and support to educators and staff
• Assist with the development, implementation and reflection of the educational program in collaboration with the Educational Leader
