Department of Education Victoria – Melbourne VIC is recruiting for Early Learning Victoria Nicholson and District, a new 102-place centre opening in 2027 co-located with Nicholson Primary School. The role focuses on delivering play-based learning and aligning with relevant frameworks while supporting families and communities.

Relocation incentives of up to $8,000 may apply, and the team is committed to child safety, professional growth, and high-quality pedagogy in accessible settings.

Qualifications

• ACEQCA approved Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care, or actively working towards completion.
• Valid Working with Children Check and safety qualifications (First Aid, CPR).
• Police check required; international police check for time abroad within last 10 years.
• Food Safety Supervisor Certificate.
• Desirable: Safe Sleep Training.

Responsibilities

• Support the team to deliver high-quality early childhood education guided by evidence-informed, contemporary pedagogy and practice.
• Assist in planning and implementing the educational program, aligned with the National Quality Standards, Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework and National Education and Care Law and Regulations.
• Monitor children's progress and support their social, emotional and cognitive development.
• Build respectful, collaborative relationships with families, children and colleagues, ensuring all children feel safe and valued.
