Job summary

Women’s and Children’s Health Network (WCHN) in Adelaide CBD is seeking Registered and Clinical Nurses to join the Paediatric Emergency Department on a part-time, temporary basis. Responsibilities include assessing patients, planning, implementing and coordinating care to ensure high-quality outcomes for children and families.

We offer salary ranges for RN/M1 and RN/M2C with superannuation, salary sacrifice, and benefits such as salary packaging and fitness programs.

Qualifications

• Registered or eligible for registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and holds a current practicing certificate.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs and coordinate appropriate service delivery.

• Provide direct patient-centred nursing care and, where appropriate, case management.
• Provide health promotion and education to patients, groups and carers.

About the role

Are you a Registered Nurse who wants to make a difference within a collaborative environment? We are seeking Registered and Clinical Nurses to join our team within the Paediatric Emergency Department, assessing our patients and planning, implementing, and coordinating service delivery, ensuring our patients receive the best possible care.

Key duties of the role

• Assess individual patient needs, plan, implement and/or coordinate appropriate service delivery.
• Plan and coordinate services with other disciplines or agencies in providing individual health care needs.
• Provide direct person-centred nursing/midwifery care and/or individual case management.
• Provide health promotion and education to patients, groups, and carers.
• Support and guide newer or less experienced staff, Enrolled Nurses, and student nurses.

Skills and Experience

• Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.
• Effective communication skills including, problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Ability to prioritise workload.
