Job summary

Women\u2019s and Children\u2019s Health Network (WCHN) seeks Registered/Clinical Nurses for the Paediatric Emergency Department in Adelaide. You will assess patients, plan and deliver care, coordinate services, and educate families in a collaborative ED environment.

You will join a multidisciplinary team, with roles RN/M1 or RN/M2C, and enjoy a range of staff benefits and relocation support where eligible.

Qualifications

• Registered or eligible for registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
• Current practicing certificate (or eligibility to obtain one).
• Effective communication skills including problem solving and negotiation.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and prioritise workload.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs and coordinate appropriate service delivery.
• Plan and coordinate services with other disciplines to meet health care needs.
• Provide direct person-centred nursing care and case management as required.

About the role

Are you a Registered Nurse who wants to make a difference within a collaborative environment? We are seeking Registered and Clinical Nurses to join our team within the Paediatric Emergency Department, assessing our patients and planning, implementing, and coordinating service delivery, ensuring our patients receive the best possible care.

Key duties of the role

• Assess individual patient needs, plan, implement and/or coordinate appropriate service delivery.
• Plan and coordinate services with other disciplines or agencies in providing individual health care needs.
• Provide direct person-centred nursing/midwifery care and/or individual case management.
• Provide health promotion and education to patients, groups, and carers.
• Support and guide newer or less experienced staff, Enrolled Nurses, and student nurses.

Skills and Experience

• Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.
• Effective communication skills including, problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Ability to prioritise workload.
