Job summary

News Corp Australia is seeking a Regional Technology Director to lead regional infrastructure and IT services, reporting to the SVP, Infrastructure & Enterprise Technology. This senior role requires close collaboration with BU leadership and GT to translate business priorities into technology outcomes across data centres, networks, cloud and security.

You will drive strategy, governance, and cost optimization, while developing regional talent and ensuring global standards are applied locally.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or related discipline.
15+ years of IT management and technology leadership experience.
Broad experience in IT service management across infrastructure, cloud and security.
Strong business–technology partnership with complex stakeholders.
Experience with governance, risk, security and enterprise architecture.
Commercial and vendor management experience with cost optimization.
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

Build trusted relationships with regional and global leaders to align priorities.
Oversee regional infrastructure across data centres, networks, cloud, compute, storage and telephony.
Provide strategic leadership across regional teams and talent development.
Drive regional execution of global infrastructure strategy and AI adoption.
Own BU–GT alignment forum and ensure two-way communication.
Drive budgeting, procurement, vendors and cost optimization.
Adopt global standards, governance, and security with Cyber Security.
Connect regional teams with GT services to leverage innovation.
Strengthen leadership capability and cross-team knowledge sharing.
