Harvest Recruitment invites an experienced Coordinator Statutory Planning in a regional Victorian Shire to lead the delivery of the statutory planning function, provide technical leadership, and guide the team in complex matters. You will work with Councillors, applicants, and the community, represent Council at VCAT and other forums, and shape how the service evolves while developing staff.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in town planning or related discipline.
• Substantial local government experience preferred.
• Strong technical planning knowledge and sound judgement.
• Experience developing others and leading teams welcome.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of Council’s statutory planning function and provide technical leadership to the team.
• Provide authoritative planning advice and guide sound decision-making.
• Represent Council at VCAT and other statutory forums.
• Collaborate with Councillors, applicants, community members and internal stakeholders.
• Develop and mentor the planning team to build capability and accountability.
