Job summary

Placed Recruitment seeks a commercially sharp General Manager to lead a regional pub in NSW. This hands-on role requires strong gaming operations leadership, proven P&L discipline and capability to recruit and mentor a high-performing team.

You’ll drive food and beverage improvements, manage gaming compliance and guest experience while relocating to join the local community and ownership group.

Qualifications

• Proven pub General Manager or an accomplished 2IC ready to take full venue responsibility.
• Strong gaming background and practical understanding of running a multifaceted pub operation.
• Commercially disciplined with evidence of managing wages, improving revenue and lifting performance.
• Confident recruiting, mentoring and holding people accountable.
• Genuinely ready to relocate and become part of the local community.

Responsibilities

• Own the business plan, budget and commercial performance with accountability for revenue, labour and costs.
• Recruit, coach and develop your management team with clear standards and accountability.
• Develop the food and beverage offer alongside the kitchen team to improve quality and repeat visits.
• Oversee gaming operations, compliance and responsible venue management.
• Drive accommodation performance and build local business relationships to increase bookings.
• Engage with the community through local businesses and clubs.
• Ensure guest experience and service standards are consistently delivered.
