Job summary

UGL Regional Linx invites an experienced Project Engineer to plan and deliver contamination and remediation projects across the Country Regional Network in NSW. You will lead field teams, engage contractors and stakeholders, and ensure projects meet safety, quality, budget and schedule targets.

The role requires hands-on field work, travel across regional NSW, and delivering results that improve regional transport infrastructure. Chartered status is valued but not essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in contaminated land management or a related field.
• Degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Geology, or related discipline.
• Willingness to travel across regional NSW and oversee site works.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and deliver contamination and remediation projects to safety, quality, schedule and budget objectives.
• Build strong relationships with internal teams, contractors, suppliers and clients.
• Manage project programs, budgets and reporting requirements.
• Ensure construction activities comply with rail standards and regulatory obligations.
• Support design reviews and governance processes for changes.
• Champion safe work practices and foster a positive safety culture.
• Oversee contractor performance to achieve quality and outcomes.
• Monitor project performance and identify delivery improvements.
• Provide regular project updates to senior leadership and stakeholders.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the business.
