Job summary

South West Academy of Sport Inc. (SWAS) in Bunbury WA invites a motivated Project Officer (fixed-term contract) to lead strategic projects and strengthen athlete pathways across regional WA.

You will develop the WA Regional Para Pathways Strategy with WAIS and PRAS, engage stakeholders, and help deliver impactful initiatives for regional athletes. You will also contribute to ongoing projects, manage governance materials, and support grant-funded activities, reporting to funding partners while

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience coordinating projects or programs.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently while managing competing priorities.
  • Experience preparing reports, policies or strategic documents.
  • Strong computer literacy including Microsoft Office.
  • Current Driver's Licence.
  • Current Working with Children check.
  • Experience within sport, recreation or community development.
  • Knowledge of athlete pathways or high-performance sport.
  • Understanding of Para programs and pathways.
  • Experience working with grants or government-funded projects.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and implementation of the WA Regional Para Pathways Strategy.
  • Coordinate strategic projects that align with SWAS priorities.
  • Develop partnerships with sporting organisations, schools, disability organisations, local government and community stakeholders.
  • Coordinate meetings, workshops and engagement activities.
  • Develop governance resources, operational procedures and project documentation.
  • Assist with grant-funded initiatives and new project opportunities.
  • Monitor project outcomes and prepare reports for funding partners.
  • Represent SWAS across regional Western Australia.
