Job summary

Qualifications

• Demonstrated knowledge of the relevant curriculum, including the ability to incorporate the teaching of literacy and numeracy skills.
• Demonstrated experience in planning for and implementing high-impact teaching strategies, guided by how students learn.
• Demonstrated experience in monitoring and assessing student learning and using data to inform practice.
• Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills and ability to build collaborative relationships with students, parents, colleagues and the community.
• Demonstrated behaviours aligned with Department values and commitment to professional learning.

Responsibilities

• Direct teaching of groups of students and individual students.
• Contribute to development, implementation and evaluation of curriculum programs.
• Undertake other classroom duties and organizational tasks as directed.
• Engage in parent/teacher meetings, staff meetings, camps and excursions.
• Support colleagues through mentoring and professional learning activities.
