Job summary

The NSW Rural Fire Service seeks an Operational Officer Level 2 to lead district capability needs, oversee learning and minor fleet/infrastructure tasks, and support remote communities across Western NSW. This full-time role emphasizes hands-on leadership, development activities, and collaboration within a dynamic team.

Applicants must hold the required IMT qualifications, a current driver licence, and be willing to travel; a medical assessment is required.

Qualifications

• Evidence of RFS Level 2 Principal or Assistant IMT Qualification.
• Certificate IV in a relevant discipline or equivalent expertise.
• A current Driver Licence and the willingness and ability to travel.
• Completion of an Operational Officer Medical Assessment certifying the required level of general health and fitness (external candidates)

Responsibilities

• Lead on district capability needs, incorporating learning/development and minor fleet and infrastructure maintenance.
• The role offers opportunities to contribute to remote communities and gain broad professional experience in Outback NSW.
