Job summary

Thomas McWilliam, Bathurst, NSW, is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of multiple regional commercial construction projects from inception through completion. You will work closely with Site Managers, clients, and consultants to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience as a Project Manager in Australian commercial construction.
• Degree in Construction Management, Project Management, Building, or a relevant trade qualification.
• Proven experience delivering commercial construction projects from start to finish.
• Strong financial acumen with budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
• Thorough understanding of Australian Building Standards and WHS legislation.
• Excellent leadership, organisational, and stakeholder management skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, MS Project, and Hammertech.
• Australian working rights and a valid driver's licence.

Responsibilities

• Oversee multiple commercial construction projects from inception to handover.
• Coordinate with Site Managers, subcontractors, and clients to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
• Develop and maintain project programs, budgets, and reporting including cost-to-complete forecasts.
• Lead procurement of subcontractors, scope development, and timely engagement of trades.
• Monitor safety and quality, ensuring compliance with Australian standards and WHS.
• Maintain strong client relationships and provide regular project updates.
• Manage contract administration, variations, claims, notices, and extensions of time.
• Identify delays early and implement recovery plans to meet completion dates.
• Support project close-out, including final accounts and handover documentation.
