Job summary

SA Health's Eyre and Far North Local Health Network (EFNLHN) seeks an experienced Registered Nurse or Midwife to lead network operations across a vast region, connecting patients with the right care closer to home.

As Manager Network Operations, you will oversee safe repatriation of consumers from metropolitan to regional hospitals and support transitions of aged care consumers to residential placements, ensuring a coordinated, person-centred journey.

Qualifications

• Current registration (or eligibility) as a Nurse or Midwife with the NMBA, with a minimum of three years post-registration experience.
• Demonstrated experience in management or leadership roles within a healthcare setting, including supervision of less experienced staff.
• Experience engaging respectfully with Aboriginal consumers and communities to support culturally appropriate care.
• Strong skills in conflict resolution, negotiation, and leading change in complex clinical environments.
• Working knowledge of Sunrise EMR and Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with NSQHS standards.

Responsibilities

• Review capacity dashboards to identify barriers and provide real-time operational support across the network.
• Coordinate transfers with metropolitan and regional teams to ensure timely, person-centred care.
• Lead complex discharge planning for regional patients and contribute to sustainable improvements in patient flow.
• Provide oversight, escalation, and reporting on issues affecting patient movement across acute and aged care settings.
