Job summary

Lactalis-Mainland Dairy seeks a Milk Collection Operations Leader to oversee the day-to-day transport operations of the farm milk collection network, leading a team of Tanker Drivers to ensure people, fleet and resources are used safely and efficiently while collaborating with internal stakeholders to deliver operational excellence. This role is on a 4-on, 4-off roster (6:00am to 6:00pm).

Qualifications

• Experience leading teams in transport, logistics or dairy operations.
• Knowledge of transport safety and Chain of Responsibility obligations.
• Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead Tanker Drivers and coordinate rosters, ensuring safety and fatigue compliance.
• Manage fleet movements, maintenance and ad-hoc collections to meet operations.
• Collaborate with Milk Sourcing, Scheduling, Site Receival and Regional teams.
• Monitor performance, review plan vs. actuals, and drive improvements.
• Maintain reporting, quality uploads, and governance documentation.
• Promote a safety culture and ensure regulatory compliance under HVNL.
• Support quality testing, fuel/chemical management, coaching and improvement initiatives.
