Job summary

Rimfire Resources seeks a Regional Manager to oversee the northern business research unit, covering field operations and logistics across Northern NSW, South West QLD and Central QLD, with Goondiwindi and Narrabri as key collaboration points.

You will report to the Northern Business Manager, lead 7 direct reports, ensure delivery of clients and trial objectives, with about 60% office and 40% field time, including training staff and running a small field trial program.

The role

A new role has been created for a Regional Manager - Goondiwindito manage an area of the northern business research unit, overseeing the field operations and logistics in the broadacre regions of Northern NSW, Sth West QLD and Central QLD.

Reporting to the Northern Business Manager, you will be responsible for managerial, technical and administrative areas of the unit’s business performance. This includes working closely with your team of 7 direct reports to ensure delivery of clients and trial objectives. The research work is comprehensive and diverse covering a wide range of crops across residue, efficacy and breeding trials. It is estimated that 60% of your time would be in the office and 40% in the field, which would include training newer staff and running your own small field trial program.

There is a requirement to travel at regular intervals to the regional offices.

The successful person will have the following skills and attributes:

• Agronomy knowledge and familiarity with crops grown in this geographic region
• Ideally field trial (R&D) and logistics experience, with good attention to detail
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Agriculture/ Business /Commerce

A generous salary package including vehicle is on offer for the successful candidate. There is some flexibility on location however you are required to work closely with the teams in Goondiwindi and Narrabri.
