Job summary

Aurizon is seeking a Regional Maintenance Superintendent Locomotives based at the Jilalan depot to lead a critical maintenance operation across the network. You will drive safety, performance and value through a capable leadership team, delivering on-time outcomes with a customer-focused, commercial culture.

You will coach leaders, implement improvements and foster collaboration with stakeholders to sustain high standards of reliability and safety across rail operations.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of rail operations and maintenance.
• Knowledge of maintenance, supply chain and reliability processes.
• Relevant trade or tertiary qualifications.
• Strong safety management skills including incident investigation and safety leadership.
• Operational management skills to implement systems achieving KPIs.
• Ability to engage teams, set direction and coach leaders.
• Demonstrated customer relationship management and commercial acumen.

Responsibilities

• Lead a critical maintenance operation to support locomotive performance across the network.
• Provide direction and drive operational discipline with safety at the centre.
• Coach leaders to meet customer expectations through a commercial culture.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and collaboration.
• Manage budgets, resources, on-time performance and safety.
• Ensure team training and competency are up to date.
• Foster strong stakeholder relationships and accountability.
