Job summary

Baker Hughes is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety Advisor - Regional Operations to lead HSE performance across a defined region. You will coach site-based professionals, ensure compliance with ISO 45001/ISO 14001 and regulatory requirements, and partner with Operations to embed safer work practices into everyday activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety or related field, OR an equivalent combination of education and HSE experience.
• Minimum 3 years of regional/multi-site HSE leadership or senior IC experience.
• Familiarity with ISO 45001, ISO 14001, OSHA and regional environmental and safety regulations.
• Strong leadership, coaching, communication, and problem-solving skills; ability to influence across a matrix organization and travel within the region.

Responsibilities

• Provide functional leadership and oversight to site-based and frontline HSE professionals, setting expectations for compliance and incident prevention.
• Escalate significant HSE issues and partner with Operations, Engineering and Business Leaders to integrate HSE requirements into operations, projects and planning.
• Advise leaders on HSE risk identification, mitigation strategies and safe work execution for construction, commissioning and maintenance activities.
• Ensure consistent implementation of corporate HSE policies and management systems, monitor regulatory compliance, and drive corrective actions.
• Lead or support incident investigations, root cause analyses, and tracking of corrective actions; analyze regional HSE trends to drive improvements.
• Lead regional HSE initiatives and projects across sites, communicating expectations, risks, performance, and recommendations to leadership.
