Job summary

AFL NSW/ACT is seeking a Game Development Officer to connect schools, clubs and communities to Australia’s game across Regional South NSW and the ACT. You’ll run skill-based sessions in schools and clubs, deliver Auskick and Superkick, and help grow participation.

This casual role offers flexibility to work school hours, evenings and weekends, with training provided and a focus on inclusion and local impact across South Coast, Wagga Wagga, ACT, Albury, Griffith and surrounding areas.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children and young people in school or community settings.
• Strong verbal communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to engage diverse audiences in sports activities.
• Comfort in independent and team-based work in schools/clubs.
• Reliable, adaptable and with good judgement.
• Willingness to obtain Working with Children/ Vulnerable Person clearance where required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver fun, skills-based sessions in schools and clubs to engage children.
• Run Auskick and Superkick programs to build confidence and activity.
• Support community events, umpiring, ground management and game-day activities.
• Build positive relationships with schools, clubs and families to promote participation.
• Represent AFL NSW/ACT in schools, clubs and community settings.
• Contribute to inclusive programs for multicultural communities and diverse abilities.
