Job summary

The Australian Football League (AFL) is seeking a Game Development Officer to support participation programs in the Barkly/Tennant Creek region. Based in Tennant Creek, you will deliver Auskick, junior football and school clinics while building relationships with schools, clubs and families.

You will contribute to a safe, inclusive football experience and help grow participation across regional communities, reporting to the Football Development Lead - Barkly.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children and young people in sport or community settings.
• Strong communication with schools, clubs, families and stakeholders.
• Ability to run safe, inclusive, age-appropriate activities.
• Organisational skills for setting up and delivering events.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Auskick, junior football and school activities across Barkly/Tennant Creek.
• Lead AFL clinics for primary and secondary students.
• Support clubs and community providers to run safe programs.
• Coordinate school competitions, gala days and community events.
• Assist with event-day operations including setup, scoring and timekeeping.
