Job summary

Amazon Corporate Services Pty Ltd in Sydney is seeking a Project Design Controls Engineer to lead the design, specification, and implementation of BMS and EPMS controls for data center retrofit projects across our fleet. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer/Systems Engineering or related field is required.
• Significant experience with BMS/EPMS and control systems in mission critical facilities.
• Ability to design, review, and implement control sequences and diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Lead controls design and integration for data center retrofit projects across the fleet, ensuring BMS and EPMS are properly specified, programmed, and commissioned.
• Develop and maintain control design standards, specifications, and scope of work (SOW) for retrofit projects, aligned with global design standards.
• Collaborate with mechanical/electrical engineers, construction, commissioning and operations teams to deliver integrated controls solutions.
• Serve as central technical authority for BMS/EPMS controls within FRE, managing scope across retrofit projects and capacity recovery initiatives.
• Perform controls design reviews, identify risks and opportunities for optimization in monitoring and automation strategies.
• Coordinate with controls vendors and programmers on bid reviews, RFIs, controller drawings, MOPs, and code reviews.
