Job summary

Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service is seeking an AO5 Senior Ranger (Fire Support) to provide regional leadership and coordination for fire management capability, logistics and readiness across Central Region.

You will plan, coordinate and deliver fire programs, support workforce development, and build partnerships with agencies and stakeholders to protect Queensland's protected areas.

Qualifications

• Fire management, emergency management or natural resource experience.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• The ability to coordinate multiple priorities and work under pressure.
• Sound organisational, planning and problem-solving skills.
• A commitment to workplace health and safety, including wellbeing.
• Initiative, self-motivation and ability to work independently or in a team.
• Experience using administrative, reporting and computer systems.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and deliver fire management programs across Central Region.
• Support workforce capability development, fire operations and resource management.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and reporting.
• Foster partnerships with QPWS& Partnerships, Queensland Fire Department and stakeholders.
