Job summary

Reef Catchments in Queensland seeks an Environmental Projects Team Manager to lead a portfolio of environmental and natural resource management projects across the Mackay Whitsunday Isaac region. You will oversee planning, resourcing, delivery, monitoring and reporting to meet environmental outcomes.

The role requires strong leadership, extensive project management experience, and the ability to engage with Traditional Owners, landholders, industry and government while managing budgets and risk.

Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary qualification in environmental science, ecology, conservation, NRM or related discipline.
• Significant experience leading environmental or natural resource management programs.
• Experience leading staff, budgeting, planning, and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, resourcing, delivery, monitoring and evaluation of environmental projects.
• Manage project budgets, schedules, risks and reporting.
• Lead and coach Project Officers and support workforce development.
• Build relationships with Traditional Owners, landholders, industry, government and funders.
• Oversee contractors and service providers to meet obligations and standards.
• Prepare funding proposals, reports and project briefs.
• Ensure evidence-based monitoring and continuous improvement of outcomes.
• Identify and manage project, financial and reputational risks.
• Represent Reef Catchments at meetings and industry forums.
