Job summary

Queensland Health’s Rockhampton Hospital is seeking a Principal House Officer to deliver high-quality ENT care across Central Queensland. You’ll work with Staff Specialists and senior staff to manage patient journeys, investigations, treatment and discharge while contributing to teaching and ongoing professional development.

You will also participate in out-of-hours shifts, collaborate across multidisciplinary teams, and help coordinate admissions, handovers and documentation in a busy regional

Qualifications

• MBBS or equivalent with AHPRA registration; Australian healthcare exp a plus
• Interest in Otolaryngology (ENT) and eagerness to expand skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with diverse teams
• Willingness to teach, supervise juniors and engage in CPD/education

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality clinical care for patients across their hospital journey
• Collaborate with senior medical staff, registrars and inpatient teams to coordinate care
• Participate in out-of-hours, night and weekend rosters and support the busy surgical service
• Lead and supervise junior staff and contribute to undergraduate teaching and CPD
