Job summary

Rockhampton Hospital is seeking a dedicated clinician to deliver high-quality Otolaryngology (ENT) care within a busy surgical service. You will assess, diagnose and manage patients across the hospital journey, collaborating with senior medical staff to develop safe care plans and ensure timely discharge.

You will teach and supervise junior staff, participate in teaching meetings and CPD activities, and contribute to ongoing professional development in a supportive multidisciplinary environment.

Qualifications

• MBBS or equivalent, eligible for Medical Board of Australia registration, with current AHPRA registration.
• At least 2 years' Australian healthcare experience is a plus.
• Interest in Otolaryngology (ENT) and willingness to develop skills.
• Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills; ability to engage with patients, families and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality clinical care; assess, diagnose and manage patients through admission, investigation, treatment, discharge and follow‑up.
• Collaborate with Staff Specialists, Registrars and multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care.
• Coordinate investigations, admissions, handovers and discharge planning with accurate medical records.
• Participate in out-of-hours, night and weekend rosters and support ongoing clinical meetings.
• Teach and supervise junior medical staff and contribute to medical education.
