Job summary

CQG Consulting, now part of Beca, is seeking an intermediate ecologist to join our Rockhampton, Townsville or Brisbane offices. You will deliver ecological assessments, plan field surveys (flora, fauna, habitat) and contribute to environmental approvals and project planning.

You will work with a supportive team on regional Queensland projects, develop technical reports, build client relationships and grow towards leading multidisciplinary projects while maintaining safety and high-quality

Qualifications

• Practical field experience in ecology surveys across Australian contexts.
• Experience with flora, fauna and habitat surveys.
• Ability to analyze and interpret ecological data.
• Strong report writing and presentation skills.
• Familiarity with environmental approvals and compliance.
• Degree in ecology, environmental science, zoology or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Deliver ecological services for clients with support from the team.
• Plan, lead and undertake ecological field investigations and surveys.
• Prepare robust ecological assessments and reports for approvals.
• Contribute to proposals, scopes and fee estimates.
