Echuca Regional Health is seeking a Director of Anaesthesia to lead a regional service while maintaining hands-on specialist practice.

You will chair governance, drive quality improvement and mentor medical staff and trainees in a collaborative perioperative environment across Echuca.

The role offers a chance to influence care delivery in a regional setting and contribute to patient safety and service development in the Echuca region.

Responsibilities

• Delivering specialist anaesthetic care, including participation in on-call and emergency response services.
• Providing visible, approachable leadership to medical staff and trainees.
• Supporting education, mentoring and ongoing professional development.
• Strengthening clinical governance, quality improvement and patient safety.
• Contributing to the ongoing development of anaesthesia and perioperative services.
