Job summary

Coastal Regional Queensland Health Service seeks a Clinical Director of Emergency Medicine to shape a high‑performing ED. This senior role combines clinical work with leadership to drive governance, quality and patient flow improvements.

You will lead the department’s medical staff, supported by Deputy Directors in governance and workforce, and report to executive leaders. This permanent, full‑time position offers a flexible roster and a competitive package.

Qualifications

• Senior leadership role in Emergency Department leadership across clinical governance and service improvement.
• Direct supervision of Senior Medical Officers, Visiting Medical Officers and Resident Medical Officers.
• Coordinate with Deputy Directors on governance and workforce.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership across the Emergency Department.
• Drive quality, safety and service improvement initiatives.
• Support patient flow and bed access improvements.
