Job summary

Reef Catchments Limited in Proserpine, Queensland, seeks a Cultural Heritage and Engagement Officer to strengthen relationships with industry, government and the community across the Mackay Whitsunday Isaac region.

Reporting to the Program Director - Community and Environment, this position delivers cultural heritage and conservation initiatives, facilitates stakeholder engagement, conducts fieldwork and prepares reports to support sustainable environmental outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience in cultural heritage management and NRM.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and project delivery.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to collect, analyse and interpret data.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with industry, community and government stakeholders.
• Deliver cultural heritage and conservation projects.
• Provide cultural heritage advice for planning and delivery.
• Undertake fieldwork, site assessments, audits and data collection.
• Prepare reports and stakeholder communications.
• Promote culturally appropriate practices across Reef Catchments programs.
