Job summary

NSW Reconstruction Authority invites applications for Manager Regional Coordination, Sydney and Southern. The role leads a regional team, coordinates disaster preparedness and recovery initiatives, and collaborates with government and community partners across Parramatta and Sydney regions.

You will drive regional programs, manage stakeholder relationships and provide strategic advice to inform policy and planning.

Qualifications

• Experience leading teams to achieve organisational objectives.
• Strong knowledge of disaster management, resilience and recovery.
• Exceptional stakeholder engagement across government, local government and communities.
• Experience leading complex programs involving multiple stakeholders.
• Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving capability.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a regional team, fostering collaboration, continuous improvement and high performance.
• Build and maintain relationships with local government, emergency management partners and community leaders.
• Represent the Reconstruction Authority across the region, incorporating local needs into decision-making.
• Lead delivery of regional programs and projects to strengthen disaster preparedness and recovery outcomes.
• Coordinate regional planning and operational readiness activities for effective disaster management.
• Support disaster response and recovery activities, including impact assessment coordination.
• Provide strategic advice and regional intelligence to inform policy and planning.
• Monitor program performance and ensure delivery within timeframes and standards.
• Collaborate across the Authority and with partner agencies for integrated outcomes.
