Job summary

Elders Rural Services Australia Limited in Queensland is seeking a Category Lead - General Merchandise to drive the regional implementation of the national retail strategy across our branch network. This permanent, full-time role reports to the Region Retail Manager and offers the opportunity to lead category initiatives across multiple markets.

You will build capability, partner with suppliers, and deliver strong commercial outcomes by aligning with national priorities while mentoring branch

Qualifications

• A degree in Business, Agriculture or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant industry experience.
• Relevant accreditation for the assigned category (e.g. Agsafe, ChemCert) is desirable or required where applicable.
• Agricultural industry experience, ideally within rural products, retail or an agribusiness environment.
• Strong knowledge of product logistics, inventory management and supply chain processes.
• Branch management experience is desirable with strong commercial acumen across margin, inventory and capital return.

• Build category capability by providing teams with product knowledge and sales tools.
