Job summary

Elders is seeking a Category Lead - General Merchandise to join our team on a permanent, full-time basis, ideally based in Toowoomba but open to Queensland or Northern NSW. You will drive the regional implementation of our national retail strategy for your category and support branch teams to hit targets.

Reporting to the Region Retail Manager, you will develop category insights, provide guidance, and collaborate with branch networks, agronomists and suppliers to optimise category performance

Qualifications

• A degree in Business, Agriculture or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Agricultural industry experience in rural products or agribusiness.
• Strong knowledge of logistics, inventory and supply chain.
• Branch management experience is desirable with commercial acumen.
• Understanding of marketing, pricing, product ranging and margins.

Responsibilities

• Identify and deliver growth opportunities with regional initiatives.
• Build category capability by providing product, service and sales process knowledge.
• Collaborate with Retail Centre of Direction, Branch Managers and agronomists to execute plans.
• Manage supplier relationships and industry insights to support growth.
