Job summary

SYC is seeking an Apprenticeship Field Officer based at our Kent Town Head Office, working across the South Australia region. You will actively engage with employers and Australian Apprentices, facilitating commencements and providing ongoing support throughout the apprenticeship journey.

In this role you’ll drive business development and account management, build partnerships with communities, services, organisations and employers, and promote traineeships to secure opportunities for

Qualifications

• Experience in Australian Apprenticeships sector or business development, sales and/or marketing and effective account management.
• Experience engaging and developing relationships with employers, RTOs and schools.
• Strong time management, planning and organisational skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with ability to develop case plans and reports.
• Interpersonal, negotiation and problem-solving skills for stakeholder engagement.
• Ability to engage with communities, employers and other stakeholders to achieve outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Promote traineeships and apprenticeships and secure commencement opportunities for Apprentices.
• Foster and manage relationships with employers, RTOs and GTOs, schools and other stakeholders.
• Sign up apprentices to a National Training Contract and guide through government forms.
• Conduct assessment services for apprentices and employers to support retention and completion.
• Provide end-to-end advice on eligibility for Commonwealth and State incentives and access to supports.
• Assess apprentice needs and barriers and evaluate training paths and occupations.
• Attend career expos and coordinate promotional activities to promote SYC Australian Apprenticeship Support Services.
