Job summary

Viva Energy Australia is seeking a highly analytical Integrity Engineer to own the refinery on‑stream piping inspection program and strengthen long‑term integrity, reliability and safety of refinery assets.

Reporting to the Senior Materials & Corrosion Engineer, you will lead data‑driven analysis of inspection results, degradation trends and risk, and collaborate with Inspection, Operations and Reliability teams.

Qualifications

Detail‑oriented engineer who can turn data into practical decisions that improve safety and reliability.
Experience with piping integrity management and inspection programs in refinery context.
Strong knowledge of corrosion, degradation mechanisms and risk‑based inspection concepts.

Responsibilities

Lead the Refinery On‑Stream Piping Inspection Program in line with AS 3788 and integrity management requirements.
Maintain and improve the integrity inspection database and ensure data quality.
Analyze large volumes of inspection, corrosion and thickness data to identify trends and risks.
Develop and optimise risk‑based inspection strategies for refinery piping systems.
Provide technical support to keep piping systems safe, compliant and reliable.
Support shutdowns, turnarounds and inspection planning activities as required.
Prepare technical reports and integrity assessments for stakeholders.
Drive continuous improvement in inspection efficiency and data quality.
