Job summary

Murrin Murrin Operations, Australia’s leading cobalt producer with a major nickel operation in WA, is seeking a Maintenance Superintendent – Refinery. Lead mechanical maintenance teams, manage maintenance systems, and drive safety and performance across the refinery.

The role requires a mechanical engineering background (or trades), WHS supervisory qualifications, and substantial maintenance experience in a metallurgical plant. Strong leadership, budgeting, and SAP/Coupa experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Superintendent/Coordinator or similar role.
• Extensive experience in a complex metallurgical plant maintenance environment.
• Experience implementing safety, quality, environmental and maintenance management systems.
• Knowledge of maintenance management systems and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate shift and day maintenance to minimise plant disruptions.
• Schedule maintenance to minimise production impact.
• Oversee area maintenance and ensure efficient execution of planned activities.
• Direct supervision of maintenance fitters and sub-contractors.
• Ensure availability of equipment spares and liaise with planners.
• Control maintenance budgets and reporting.
• Contribute to safety and environmental policy and practice.
• Oversee refinery shutdowns and statutory/SCE compliance.
